We are excited to announce the 2011 Foreclosure.com Scholarship Program, which will reward five current college students with nearly $10,000 in academic grants. Winners of the 2010 scholarship program will be notified via email and the winning essays will be accessible through this page on or before Feb. 1, 2011.
2011 essay topic:
You've acquired $150,000 in cash to be used specifically for a distressed real estate purchase. Outline a detailed strategy that ensures the maximum return on investment, whether it's in terms of financial profit or personal satisfaction ... or both. We're giving you 11 months to come up with a brilliant blue print — make the most of your time!
About the scholarship program:
We're currently experiencing a very challenging and volatile period in real estate because of a recession that has hit homeowners everywhere very hard. Many times volatile and uncertain times can also give way to opportunity. Using the scenario given in the topic please outline a detailed strategy on how you, as well as the community in which you invest, would most benefit from the initial investment amount.

Foreclosure.com is breaking new ground by offering a scholarship program. Currently enrolled college students (graduate students, law students and/or incoming freshman are NOT eligible) are invited to apply by submitting an essay."
