Could anyone have guessed the impact Facebook would have on the Internet and on the way people connect with one another?
It’s hard to say, but whether you jumped right on board or are still resisting the pull, Facebook has revolutionized the way people connect with family, friends and yes, even customers.
Seek out your buyers and sellers on Facebook and “friend” them. It’s a simple, effective way to keep your clients’ ears and make yourself memorable.
Once you’re friends with a client, you’ll be able to send them public and private messages, as well as leave comments on their walls. These simple tools are a fantastic way to consistently keep in touch.
Even better, any public messages you write (i.e. on their wall), will be visible to all of your clients’ Facebook friends, too, which means you’re getting your name out in front of dozens or possibly hundreds of people, all of whom have established some degree of credibility with your mutual friend.
More visibility equals more leads for you.
The more you’re in front of people, the more likely it is they’ll reach out to you when they’re ready to buy or sell. Your friends’ friends will also be interested because they see that you’re a person their friend trusts.
Not sure what to write on your friends’ Facebook pages? Here are some ideas:
- Comment on their statuses
- Post YouTube videos you think they might find interesting and/or funny
- Write about the latest real estate news
- Share positive and/or helpful experiences that others can apply to their everyday lives
You’ll come across as friendly, smart and savvy. What better free advertising is there?
